Tutorials

8 tutorial lectures each of 1.5-2 hours by eminent speakers. These lectures will cover fundamentals and applications of Lasers and ultrafast optics, quantum optic communications, silicon photnics, biophotonics, optical communications and optoelectronics.

Career guidance and Industry Interaction

A dedicated session on career development skills for industry. Dr. David M. Giltner who is an expert in coaching scientists and engineers on the skills needed to build a rewarding career in industry and be effective in a product development environment will deliver the talks.

Software Demos

Software demo sessions of leading photonics design tools. This include a session "Photonics Integrated Circuits and Components Design and Simulation" on Rsoft (Synopsis) by Pravin H Joshi (FOS, Mumbai) and a session on Lumerical by Sripadaraja (SriDutt Technologies Bengaluru).
